Am I Internet famous? I doubt it…but our scooters are!
It turns out someone has uploaded a picture I took in 2007 to wikipedia.org. Brian Johnson and I had just picked up our new Aprilia SR50R Factory scooters.

Delegation
I am nearly finished reading a very entertaining book by Felix Dennis, founder of Maxim Magazine. The book, entitled “How To Get Rich”, starts out chapter 13 with this quote:
Work is of two kinds: first, altering the position of matter at or near the earth’s surface relatively to other such matter; second, telling other people to do so. The first is unpleasant and ill paid; the second is pleasant an highly paid. -Bertrand Russell, “In Praise of Idleness”
While we all have to expend effort in order to establish our value, there are a great many things that are better done by others. I believe that success takes hard work and sacrifice on a personal level, but also the wisdom to know when you are out of your depth, or your skills are inadequate to accomplish the goal, or your strengths can best be applied elsewhere.
I think this quote is quite clever.

Hello. Welcome to Hand Made.
Hand Made is powered by WordPress 2.5 on a Media Temple Grid Server. I’ve chosen the Dilectio theme from Design Disease to launch Hand Made, but I may pony up to custom theme eventually.
Wordpress is the ideal open source blogging platform for individuals and companies alike and is the most popular application currently used in the blogosphere. Media Temple offers the scalable Grid Server which is an amazing hosting offering for most websites. The Grid offers ssh access, Ruby on Rails Containers, MySQL Containers, and now Django Containers for just $20/mo.
I’ve hosted all of my personal sites on The Grid since just after it became available, and after some early teething problems it has proven to be an excellent system. If you want to know more about the Grid Server technology, head over to TechCrunch for a great Podcast with the guys from Media Temple.
Enjoy. :)
